Dr Imran A. Shiekh is a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in Interventional Cardiology and Heart Failure. He completed Basic Physician training in UK and Australia (Royal Perth Hospital) and also Advanced Cardiology training from Royal Perth Hospital.
Imran completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Vancouver General Hospital (Canada), Liverpool Hospital (Sydney) and Fiona Stanley Hospital (Perth). He also completed a Fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure/Cardiac Transplant while at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Dr Imran Shiekh practices as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Royal Perth Hospital, The Mount Hospital and St John of God Murdoch. He has a keen interest in the management of acute coronary syndrome, evaluation of chest pain syndromes, including suspected SCAD, cardiovascular risk assessment and management.
Imran has considerable experience and expertise in the following procedures:
- Diagnostic Coronary Angiogram and Right Heart Catheterisation
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention including coronary stent implantation and rotablation
- Coronary Physiology assessment with FFR, IMR and CFR
- Intracoronary Imaging with Intravascular ultrasound and Optical Coherence Tomography
